I love how the post-shows back then had as much money and care put into them as the main show. A far cry from the cheaper add-ons of today that seem to be just something to do if you don't want to use the gift shop. Not trying to be cruel, but it just seems that the quality has gone down is all.

The glory days of Epcot. Long before the Living Seas became just another Finding Nemo ride.

There's a car, and it runs on water, man!

The chimes @ 4:52 were coming from the Bird and the Robot show located right behind this one. All the post-show attractions were featured in the same general hall, without walls - the lights dimmed in this curved enclosure, but you could be fully aware of what was going on across the hall too!

btw, the 'resolution' was irrelevant, as these multiple screens were completely cel-animated, shot on motion picture film and projected accordingly (approx. date 1981)!!

FINALLY, after all this time! (can we EVER expect this on DVD or internet or...??)
No fooling, this was classic Disney 2D animation of the 1st order. It may have been the best traditional-style animation of the 80s. (are there any challengers?)

It's a real pity they're not currently showing this at Test Track. In a way, this little show was one of the most prescient things in all of the original EPCOT attractions, and it's arguably even more relevant today than it was in 1982.
I'd love to see a high-definition widescreen presentation of this thing, if it would be possible to compile it. I wonder what the total resolution of all the screens was.

Darn I miss this and the rest of the old World of Motion.

Interesting little video. I love how all the characters interact with each other.

I'd like to see that.
It's a pity this doesn't allow you to see all characters at once;I remember the look of disgust on the mag-lev superhero's face when the little girl upstages him,and the crazy contraption the erzats Michaelangelo quickly whips up to escape the water-engine blast!

I have other recordings of this that cover each section of the theater, so I'll post those as soon as I capture them from the tapes.
