Odd. I dress in no real discernable style, i DJ trance and electro and in my free time i listen to industrial and synthpop yet my friends tell me i am the most "goth" person they know...just be yourself fer fucksake you don't have to answer to anyone and if anyone thinks you do then they just don't get it and they never will. The best identity is to have no identity be myriad.

Im not into dressing "goth" myself but I have to say that I find girls with pale skin who dress goth extreamly attractive : P

@anarimus I listen to and dress in what ever way I like. My Ipod will go from playing Stronger by Kanye West to playing Death Bed by CombiChrist followed by Apple by Twiztid.

i dont think there are any black ppl in these countries lol u never see any in the pics and wut not love the song though not really into labeling but my fav apperacne of goth is victorian style it has the sense of maturity and sense of dark wisdom like dracula verses agroup of wild gang of vamps the intensity of the youth is always awesome but you got to repsect the old school

Being and refering to oneself as "Gothic" or "Industrial" wasn't a joke until the third wave of twerps and bands  started being so self conscious about it around 1999 or so.

Hot Topic didn't help either and it killed whatever creativity might have been proved by a new wave.

You know, when the music in this scene became self referencial (this track, others by VNV) it got really gay... and I don't mean that in a good way. What a joke. It was all over by 1996 you know. Shame.
