One thing is for sure, if they're truly tier-whoring then there's nothing sweeter than watching them get toppled by lower tier characters or people who are loyal to their characters. *cough*LK Makoto vs Spark Hakumen*cough*

@RX7jkr lol what? He used her ONE game because Litchi clearly wasn't working. You bring that up but you ignoring the fact that he's played litchi in every installment, including in CSEX when she wasn't looking so good, you make it look like he got through the whole tournament with makoto or something. Tier whoring is the stupidest fucking term in FGs , i expected better from you Moy.

@jourdal - I base that on the fact that he himself said that he plays to win and will play top-tier characters to do so, moreso if they are busty females lol. He said that back in early CSII.

If the tier-whoring is obvious, then I will always bet against them. That's my opinion, I don't plan to shove it down your throat though. It is what it is.

@RX7jkr I dont believe in "tier whoring" it seems to be a concept made up by people who are "loyal" (come on its a fucking video game) to a character and get blown up by someone who just plays who is good. There's nothing wrong with it but everyone seems to have this idea that picking the strongest is wrong. Is maximizing your chance for victory suddenly something to be ashamed of? Its not like you see him picking up valk or ragna in EX.

@jourdal - It's not something to be ashamed of but they better not expect respect from me or most people for that matter if they manage to win simply by picking the strongest character. That's why you often see how the crowd gets hyped when they see a lower tier character take a tournament. In the other hand, if the guy playing a top tier character wins it then the crowd will be like "meh".

You can cross me off the "loyal" list since I play both Jin and Plat lol.

@RX7jkr Lol jin gets boring. Even if i held it against people for switching i couldnt blame a jin lol. I dont really like the low tier hero thing...skill matters most as we both know which is why to me blow ups are just blow ups you know?

I believe that the "character loyalty" really depends on people in general and is not limited to just people in Japan. Kaqn, Ren, Shirushi, R-1, Dora, Akira, Fio, and Yumura to name a few have all stuck to their respective characters since the beginning of BB. Sure Kaqn plays a few subs but his Ragna is still his better character (IMO).

Then you have those people that MIGHT look like they're tier whoring but we can't exactly be sure of it like Goro, Dennou, Yutta, etc.
