From the album "New Traditionalists" by Devo. It also appeared in the 1981 animated film "Heavy Metal" (played during the 'Taarna' bar fight scene by an animated version of the band), however was not included on the official soundtrack album - whereas the other song the band contributed, "Working In the Coal Mine" (played during the ending credits) was included.

  • FAIL : that's not the movie version (yes i read your thingy)

  • @PrankZabba If you read my thingy well enough, you'd see that I said it 'also appeared' in the movie (in addition to being on the "New Traditionalists" album. I didn't say anything about this being that version. I would've said something like "This is the version heard in the movie".

    NO FAIL here, thank you.

  • @McLarenMercedes

And you act like Dances is a wholly original movie, go see "Man Called Horse". And would you compare Dark Knight to Heat?

  • @kurlobe You mean "a great movie!" lol

  • @TheAltair4 Heavy metal defines "a good movie"

  • This is the song I remember most of The Taarna chapter.

  • Devo was the shit back in the day. Entertaining to say the least.

  • @McLarenMercedes Pocahontas is pretty badass, I must say.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh

Well apparently "Dances with Wolves" and "Pocahontas" are his favorite movies too seeing as storywise share a lot with Avatar.

All I learned about Avatar I learned from Mr.Plinkett. lol

  • @someonenobodycares Devo is a favourite band of many. I'd also check out "That's Good", "Whip It", and "Girl U Want."

  • I always assumed that Devo sucked but this isn't bad.

  • @starcrafter13terran James Cameron has listed Heavy Metal as one of his favorite movies. If you watch it, the influence is everywhere in Avatar.
