College Is a Death Camp (Part 1)

We have all been lied to.

College is not some magical haven of personal growth through education, as we've been told all these years. Instead, college is a death camp... a treacherous realm where little tin gods ever-so-narcissistically play their unhindered games of life and death with the futures and lives of their students.

I actually had one guy come in here and tell me, "Oh, you're going too far by calling college a 'death camp'", but, really, what else do you call a place that deliberately and systematically mutilates and/or destroys one group's entire future, while at the same time engaging in the specific selection of certain other people for success?

I'd call that a death camp -- particularly when those whose lives are destroyed because of it, ultimately end up dying early because of it.

I had to kiss years of butt to get my 3.9 gpa. My grades were at the mercy of psycho professors who were constantly on a ego trip. They dared you to challenge their intellect or authority. Even when the faculty treated me bad, I had to smile and bare it because they had my records, my money and my life in their hands.

Here's the thing, once I became chummy chummy with the faculty, I got to see how the other half lived. College is a brutal world!

@YhwhKhaiMostHigh THANK YOU! I challenged this one professor and it turned into this big deal! For my senior thesis paper, I couldnt do my paper because the professor just didn't want to understand my theory in undergrad. Like wtF?

University is a business. They use all these marketing techniques that these huge cooperations use. They spread lies about how good their university is and how x amount of graduates found jobs after finishing university. They are all lies. These facts are probably taken from small minority groups. Trust me university is like a contract, if you dont know what your letting yourself in for before signing the contract you are toast people. I found this out later on in uni. Once your in your stuck.

I'm going thru this crap now in order to keep this wicked witch from giving me a bad rating at the end of the year which will prevent me from getting transferred to another site. She waves this over the heads of those she things wants to leave and you are at her mercy.

I didn't need 3 degrees for what I do. A diploma would have worked just fine!

@BonishkaFromTexas I don't blame you. I found out that it's all about "who you know." I had to suck up to get into my grad school program (they only accepted 45 students a semester) and then suck up to get recommendations to get a job. Sadly butt-kissing is required in college. But when you get the job, butt-kissing is required to keep the job and be promoted. I'm sick of the game. What you know means NOTHING anymore! They don't care!
