In this video you will learn about iframes, and how they are used, and furthermore the type of syntax that it should be used with.

A common mistake that most people make whilst using iframes is that they forget to put content between the two iframe tags (the opening tag, and the closing tag). A small fraction of website visitors are using browsers that cannot view iframes, and hence need content to view in the case where the iframe cannot be displayed. This content must go in between the two iframe tags.

Remember people, copyright laws are a serious issue, so if you are linking to a website that is not yours, be careful to not get into trouble.

Lastly, the height and width of the iframe can be determined in pixels, but also as percent of the page being inserted. For example, 100% would be the original page width/height, whilst 200% would be double.

  • hey the image showed up but the scroll bar has not can you think of any solutions? thanks

  • @liltjbowen In your iframe code, try adding "scrolling = yes". So for example: iframe src = "whateverTheSiteIs" scrolling = "yes"

    Hope this helps.

  • what about tutorial 6?
