Me and my brother built Teardrops as a winter project. The white one is mine and the yellow one at the end of the video is my brothers. These campers are very easy to pull with any car. Use no more gas than without camper. Has 12v lights, CD/Radio with lighted speakers, Vented fan, blower under trailer for more air circulation, 5 gallons hand pump water/sink and lots of storage. Great alternative than tent camping.

  • IDK what you paid for all that to build the tear drop but you can snag an old airstraem off craigs list and temodel it and save a bundle. The one I have was purchased for $2K and it had a new frige in it that alone cost over $1500. The stove worked oven there are great deals out there that need slight fix to tune it to the way you want. This is a nice project but I bet it cost quite a bit to build it. I like it looks great.

  • @cdltpx i kept a price list and it was less than 1500. I bought the plans online at TYDEANCUSTOMS.

  • Hi;

I have this same chassis. Do you mind if I ask what you are using for the side walls there? Is it just plywood? I'd appreciate it.

Looks very nice. Great video too.

    Thanks!

  • @CBartin 3/4 inch plywood

  • what size trailer is that ?

  • @zachmcloven 4 x 8

  • I tried emailing TY-DEAN but never get an answer.

  • Did you put any insulation in the walsl? In the video it looks like you didn't, did the plan that you bought specify to use insulation?

    Thanks, great video! :)

  • @arizonabuckeye cheak out Harbour Frieight. They have a great trailer for about $350.

  • If any one has made this same trailer, can you show how the galley door was constructed.

  • I forgot to ask, do you have any more detailed video for making the rear galley hatch.I did,nt see anything about it on here. Thanks

  • Thanks for the great video,I just bought a new 19ft Palomino Puma.I would like to build a TY-DEAN teardrop as it will be handy just for me & the wife to tow with my Jeep Compass and use less gasolene. My question is ,Did all the wiring diagrams come with the plans or did you have to sweat it out yourself.I am a lousy electricianso would need the wiring instuctions. Thanks great job.

  • Curious where you got the trailer itself, I mean the frame and axel portion.

  • Nice job, do you know the weight of the trailer? What's the inside height of the trailer ?

  • That was Great! Thanks for the vid

  • @bentstraight $700 For a new personalized camper is not bad at all. They do look sweet too. Thanks for sharing them with us.
