Bloomfield Road, the home of Blackpool FC was the venue for the 42nd Gledhill Cup final which is probably the longest running Cup competition in Sunday Football. The showpiece final of the Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Football Alliance has been sponsored throughout all of those 42 years by the Gledhill Company.

This season's final saw Quilligans FC of the Premier Division take on Halfway House FC of Division 1. Conditions were windy with occasional rain. In this clip Halfway House FC go close from a free-kick that was deflected behind for a corner which was eventually gathered by Quill's keeper Andy Speight. Quilligans FC went on to win the game emphatically with a 7-0 win and in the process lifted the trophy for the fifth season in a row.
