Jana Gana Mana (Bengali: জন গণ মন, Jôno Gôno Mono) is the national anthem of India. Written in highly Sanskritized (Tatsama) Bengali, it is the first of five stanzas of a Brahmo hymn composed and scored by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. It was first sung at the Calcutta Session of the Indian National Congress on 27 December 1911. Jana Gana Mana was officially adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the Indian national anthem on January 24, 1950.

I mean no offence to the countries parodied. In fact, most of these countries are my favorites, and I wish them all my best. India is an aspiring economical and political power that I think will contribute positively on the international arena in the years to come.

Many months ago, I suggested that ThDubya should create an Indian parody, but he said that the melody was too weird, and that it would be hard to make a good parody based on it. Well, he has conquered it, and the parody was certainly very good, despite the fact that it was based on Jana Gana Mana!
