Sheer Brilliance - I'm a Paul fan so I should probably be shot! Love the bit about the airport. very funny. Saw this guy in Sailsbury and just fell in love, was laughing through the whole set. I played this to a friend who is a massive Lennon fan and we were both cracking up. He's a clever bloke is that Jay.

What a fuck? I would be glad if you die no if John lennon dies! And respect joko she was with him until his last moment! Your song sucks and you play awfull! I hate it! Your jealous that John lennon was awesome composing and playing! Thats the reason of this shitty song

Some people - no sense of humor and no understanding of pop culture.
-
Anyone who takes this song is braindead, with no sense of humour, and is therefore almost certainly American.

Why is John Lennon's supposed lack of artistic talent a reason for him to die? Jay foreman has never written a good song, so is it right I should go and murder him? That man didn't deserve to die, and you have no right to insult him like that. He left children behind, and a wife. So screw you Jay Foreman. You're celebrating the creation of a widow and children who have no father. And for the record... Mind Games? Watching the wheels? Imagine? Are these not good songs? Regards.

Let me first point out that I'm a huge fan of Lennon and the Beatles, and of course I'm not glad of anybody's early death. This is a comedy song - it intentionally uses shock to get an idea across. When the audience laughs at the line "I'm glad John Lennon died" it's because they know that that's not what I actually think. (or what anyone could possibly think!)

Even if the song's lyrics were to be taken seriously (and they REALLY shouldn't) it doesn't even suggest that he deserved to die. It suggests merely that had he survived, it's likely that his status today would be less legendary. Lennon's early death is a huge part of how he's remembered - that's what the song is about, not the tragic death of a husband and father.
