If you gave Rainey/Schwantz a MotoGP bike from today back in the 80's they would have used it. Motorsport has always been a progression of technology some it that seems to make the the bikes "not as good" are all in the name of safety. In the last 20 years there have been 4 deaths in the GP class, the 20 years before that there was 23 deaths. I think I prefer my GP riders alive. It tends to be a downer to a race weekend when they have to stop a race to scrape someone off a wall.

This is from the era (1975-1993) when the men who rode these bikes were MEN, and the bikes were insanely fast, and deadly if you made a mistake.

After '93 PC chips made them easier to ride.

Now, since the advent of MotoGP gay-boy bikes with launch control, traction control, wheelie control, adjustable engine torque (on the fly)... motorcycle racing has become a "sport" of nothing more than monkeys playing a 2-wheeled playstation.

And untalented wankers like Rossi are just gay poseurs.
