@twilightrealist1 layers are the foundation of any good art program, and are simply the most important tool in any animation, graphics, or photo editing software, and even painting softwares, If u cant use layers, nothing will ever come out at your full potential level! It is just like what MULTIMEDIA said, transparent paper that you can put on, and remove. Lets say I am drawing an outline, and a final. I will draw the outline on 1 layer, and final on the other so I can easily get rid of OL XD!

@twilightrealist1 Think of it as a transparent piece of paper. If you are painting and you need to do something new, add a new paper :)

@vergilblack25
I used many because i first also planned to show the progress as step by step images...
But it is always wise to paint on many layers, this way you can always go back if you need to change something.

WOW! That's fantastic - especially the eyelashes/eyebrows and the skin - it'd take me a year to do something that good! I can't believe it only took you 30 minutes. Geezz.
The only critique I can give is that perhaps the iris should have a little more variation in color/ more texture. I can see some, but it's very subtle...IDK it looks a wee bit too monochromatic to me. But that's just my opinion :)
So good!!! XO
