perfect job for a deathstar... making music... sure seems like a more fitting job than actually storing data. lol
did that deathstar have any telltale signs of a head crash like see thru platters?

no, i just used the word headcrashed for a failed hdd. it went clicking after spinup. i think this was the first hdd with glass platters i disassembled. i was pretty surprised when they broke.

what did you do hook the arm up to the leads to your stereo?

hey, i had to look which 2 wires on the foil cable supply the arm coil and connect the speaker leads from the stereo to these. polarity does not matter.
