  • This is a strong point. Borichumba completely distorts this concept with her video trying to compare nuns with muslim women. The dress of a nun is representative of their commitment to the church as Christ defines his marriage to the church so they have chosen to do so as well. There is a huge misunderstanding to not only muslim men but women as well about this idea. God bless and thank you for these videos.

  • It comes from Muhammad's own imagination. He needed a pretext to incite Muslims to fight the Jews and so he made up this charge against them.

  • The Pauline passages cited by Shamounian are helpful in establishing bride/groom language as a part of the early church's understanding of their relationship to Christ. Also, note Rev. 19:7-8. Rev. 21 sounds to me like a beautiful, apocalyptic-styled metaphor of the glorified Church (people of God). I'm just recommending further reflection on the passage with this idea in mind.

  • Can you elaborate with Scripture?

  • I would suggest that the New Jerusalem is a way of describing the glorified Church.

  • Amen, I mentioned that to heat before myself so maybe if more people tell him he might reconsider. Question: @ 7:23 you cite Quran 9:30 saying Jews say Ezra is the son of Allah -- my question is where does this Islamic idea come from?

  • theheat, read ephesians 5:25-33 and 2 corinthians 11:2-3. He does marry the Church.

  • Good work.... Keep it up!!
