  • How big is the garden? How many plants are producing those beans? Are you going to be able to get the same amount of beans in 3 days from these same plants? THANKS!!!

  • @mrmonkeyman50 - I'am estimating the length of the rows at around 50 - 60 feet, maybe 75 feet at the most, and there are 3 rows.

If we could get some rain, the plants would probably produce that many beans every 5 days.

It was 7 days between the 2 harvest videos, and some of the beans had been picked by the family members that live close to the garden.

  • Wow...some kids just can't understand

  • @dawg1157 - nope, they sure dont. When I was growing up, my parents planted potatoes, beans,,,, all kinds of stuff. One time we filled up the back of a chevy truck with purple hull pink eye peas.

  • its funny that if you grow weed you know how to pick the majority of plants.

  • WOW! I just planted 2 green bean plants and are just starting to give beans but this was a test to see if I could actually do it. Next time, I will grow many more bean plants and multiply my harvest.....LOL

    Keep up the good work.

  • I planted burgundy bush beans.I love how theyre purple when you pick them, and turn green when you cook em'.They add a lil color to the garden and easier to spot.Think I'm gonna start canning some today.

  • LOL @ trying to teach kids!

sometimes with some kids it's easier if you send them with school scissors so they won't harm the plant. works with my little one.

oh yeah and if a kid sits down to look especially if the plants are really loaded then they won't "overlook" some of the fruits of the plant.

  • I grew my first garden last year, I would think I had every bean of the right size picked and then go back and find another hat full that I had missed!

  • lol...1337 views :P

  • wall2rockclimber recently did a two part video about gathering wild plants for food. it is an excellent video, however, he lives on an entirely different continent, and seeing as how you live in the same state as me. i was wondering if you could make a similar video about edible plants in your area. thanks
