Norman Spinrad wrote "Vampire Junkies" decades ago, long before Ann Rice's Interview novels. Spinrad is an incredibly talented writer and this story has been the inspiration for all the so-called gritty vampire stories since then. What I would like to see is a film adaptation of The Void Captain's Tale.
