Ohio Man Shoots Cop in Traffic Stop, Gets Death Penality Pt 2

Akron, Oh June 23, 2010
Ashford Thompson, 25 was convicted of killing Twinsburg Police Officer Joshua Miktarian during a routine traffic stop in July of 2008 was sentenced to death by a Summit County judge.
The judge set Thompson's date of execution for exactly one year from the date of sentencing. That date may, however, get pushed back depending on the appellate process.
