Patti Smith's version of My Generation at the Beacon Theater in New York City - 9/14/07. Includes a great dueling bass solo between Tony Shanahan and Flea in the middle
@Anticrombie918 no that's how patti smith wanted it to be, she did that on purpose, listen to the studio recording of patti smith's my generation, it's the same
I'm an avid Patti fan, but to tell the truth her rendition of My Generation has never been outstanding. I can feel her soul and emotions clinging to some versions of the song... but that alone does not make it great, or even good. And this version sounds like an amateur Karaoke gig. I hope The Who can forgive her for ruining the song!
