A message to the 10,000 delegates at COP-14, Poznań, Poland from students at the University of Birmingham.

Our climate is reaching a tipping point as positive feedback mechanisms are beginning to kick in. If enhanced global warming becomes a runway affect the world will become powerless to mitigate the long term climatic effects of it greenhouse gas emissions. While the emissions cuts on the table in Poznan show good will they will not stop the earths climate reaching a tipping point which perhaps makes turns them into meaningless gestures.

The world does not need futile words and speeches combined with feeble and fragile acts it needs a strong binding global deal on to tackle climate. The COP-14 and COP-15 will be last round of talks before our climate may alter irretrievably.

Put pressure on the politicians representing you to bring about the changes that the world so desperately needs.
