@Nicolettaxox I think that the difference is Illinette Dancers are the official dance team of the university that are funded and associated with the Marching Illini Band. Illinettes perform on the sidelines and at halftime of football games, basketball games, campus events, etc. The Illinois Dance Team (IDT) is a smaller more competitve group of girls who are student-run (with the school as a sponsor) and who's main focus is competing at the UDA Nationals every January.
