  • damn! how old is tht ENGL?

  • @jbphotog712 Around seven years I believe.

  • I noticed it sounds a lot more ballsier on the 16 ohm wiring than the 4 ohm. Is this just the way the speakers are wired or did the amp settings change?

  • @rocker198607 Guitar and amp settings didn't get changed.

  • Like the Überschall cab.

  • @weyonchin Fair enough. I'm thinking perhaps the cab was plugged into the 16 ohm output for all samples (given it sounded its best in the 16ohm sample). If you've got the speakers at 4 ohms like the second sample and the amp at 16, it will change the sound compared to speakers at 16 ohms and amp at 16. That may account for its lack of bottom end at 4. The way they are wired doesn't change the sound if the amp is set to match the load - they're still getting the same signal. ;-)

  • @DLOWSHIT Thanks.

  • Thanks.

  • Nope. JJ 6L6GC and 12AX7 from Eurotubes
