Greg Cook takes his home built airplane for an afternoon flight. My wife was behind the camera on this March 1998 video. The little plane is powered by a highly modified VW engine that is cut down to two cylinders

  • Can you tell us the name of this aircraft? Love that 1/2 VW sound! :-) I am going to retire soon, and I like to build things...

  • The plane was built from a TEAM kit.

  • Scratch the "by myself" part at the end

  • I'm actually planning to make my own biplane myself, no plan, completely from scratch, by myself.

  • Some assembly required. Hope batteries are at least included.

  • These airplanes are too fast, too weak . No thank you!

  • How fast can it go?

  • the poor fellow is obviously afraid for his life, but yet he must walk the plank of death!!!!!!!

  • Why not use a small rotax engine? The thing looked really light.

  • NOW THAT IS COOL

  • @justinRkeaton lol, crashing a car at 40 mph or crashing a plane, i know which one I'd rather be in! (well the plane but i bet survival would be trickier, lol but what a way to go!)

  • how powerful is this engine measured in HP ?
