Audi S4 on snow with summer tires

A quick video demonstration of why NOT to drive on snow/ice with summer tires. Tires are Michelin PS2's getting close to the wear bars, still extremely good grip on dry roads. Even with AWD and excellent brakes, can't accelerate or stop as the video shows. I'm glad I didn't try to take it up/down the hill in my other videos, that would have been a disaster resulting in body work/paint for sure..

@Pendemic AWE twin 1 and fast intentions split downpipes. It now has twin 2 though, a bit quieter.

I'm looking at getting one of these cars...how has the maintenance been on the engine? I know all about the suspension...I own a B5 Passat atm.

@dvcbuis No traction control, but EDL will slow the spinning wheels (up to 25mph), thus sending the power to non-spinning wheels.

@ShaukuSan True, but only a crazy person would remove the AWD system instead of throwing in a 4:1 diff (what my car has). Nearly drives like a rear wheel drive car until the tires slip. Early in the video (first pull forward) you can see this happen. First both spin, then you can see the power shift rear to front (front wheels only spin at one point for a moment) and vice versa. High bias 4:1 diff throws power back and forth easily. ~400whp, you want all-wheel drive, trust me. :)
