A short video to show how easy it is to make a workable antenna in your own back garden cheaply and simply.
This is the antenna I used last night to work KD2RD.
I'm using Westflex W103 coax direct to the dipole center, open feeder would have a reaction with the carbon fibre pole.
The Hot element it about 10 foot up the trunk of a tree, the ground element tip also about 10 foot from the ground.
Any questions please ask or any helpfull advice will be gratefull.
Thanks for watching

  • Nice video but on my twin needle VSWR meters the correct standing wave is where the two needles cross over, not where the single needle lies which is what you are reading. Therefore your VSWR is slightly higher than you state but still very workable. Well done! M0KTY

  • @SEWashingtonTactical This is an old channel of mine, I spend more time and upload videos to this channel.
