@alibabaauctions Very good!

@NMERider Agreed, the effects work best with still photography at this point.

@NMERider I can remember the name of the road that I drove up to get to a launch clearing. It was Lovelace road.
Thanks for this video.... As usual... very nice camera work.

Grew up in Victorville, and made the trip up to Big Bear very often. Was very cool to see the beauty of the desert from this perspective. Now back in about 1976 I did make a flight from somewhere near where you launched. Flying a Phoenix 6b at the time and was without a doubt probably one of the first flights off of the backside. Did not make it out very far and had a landing on a dirt road that was down-sloping pretty hard, but the performance of the wing prevented a scary landing.

@menamiketrx Great story Mike. That was pretty cool. Look up HGVidFun on youtube and watch my Blackhawk fire road landing video there. I'm sure you'll be able to relate to it. Cheers, Jonathan

Typical awesomeness! Have you ever experimented with filters or effects? For example with an IR pass filter on a video camera, the world is given a surreal bleached appearance (clouds are left pretty much the same). I'm not sure what the desert would look like from a hang glider in near IR... rambling now...

@pdutube All worthy ideas. IR and polarizing filters can produce amazing effects, but cut down light reaching the sensor. The GoPro HD only performs well with maximal daylight and filters can be disappointing. Even digital enhancements are somewhat limited before the video becomes pixelated. In time there will be inexpensive HD cameras with better light sensitivity and s/n ratios. Be patient and you'll eventually see filtered effects and low light videos from this type of camera.
