"Evil Dead 2013" is here and it's time to remember the original! Five friends go up to a cabin in the woods where they find unspeakable evil lurking in the forest. They find the Necronomicon and the taped translation of the text. Once the tape is played, the evil is released. One by one, the teens are possessed. With only one remaining, it is up to him to survive the night and battle the evil dead.

Everyone who claims that the remake is better is either 13 years old or has never seen a horror movie before. The original was made by amateur film makers but is scarier than the million dollar production made by a huge professional film crew.

I saw the remake (2013) but I have to say I like the original better (1981). The original had better dialogue and atmosphere. A true horror classic.

guys i've recently got both the original and the remake on DVD...which one do u advise me to see first and why( are they the exact same story and scenes or they are different 'like the remake of Friday the 13th for example')??

for me the remake was a good horror movie,because i was really scared when i watched it and thats the point on horror movies.and whether the movie is tuned to the original is irrelevant

But ppl 30 years ago are more sacredly cat too. As a person who go and watch Evil Dead 1981 now, I find the gore, action and special effects a bit comedic, the make up, atmosphere and plot is nice. Fast forward 30 years . I say the remake is a good re-interpretation of the series, a building up and good tribute to the original with better visual. I'm sorry I just find the 1981 version fighting scene funny, I understand its the 80s but still..
