  • @FilipJers It's originally swedish - from a swedish speaking comper(s) at least. But it's also in the finnish songbook, cause Åland is part of finland, though swedish speaking area. Greets from a Finn :)

  • An amazing piece played beautifully. I love how Winslow's Chromatic augments Tuula's violin.

  • beautiful Winslow.... great tone and melodies.

  • @FilipJers Thanks, Filip. I've seen this song in Finnish folk song books that Tuula owns, and I've even heard that there are Russian versions, so it seems that Swedes do not have an exclusive on this tune. You may be right that the "Swedish Finns" may be the common link between the two countries. In any case, it's a beautiful tune.

  • Very nice.

  • HI Winslow

    Excellent! Really really nice.

  • Hej man! Great sound and cute arrangement. Is this tune Finnish? hmm.. All swedes thinks it swedish. Its origin in musicbooks in sweden, is Åland, a small island archipelago between finland and sweden.

nice with Fm, that low C note is big!

    hejdå

  • Thanks, David.. It's a Super 64X that Brendan Power converted to straight tuning with a Hering slide and mouthpiece. It also contains one reed that was a present from Blackie Schackner

  • Great tone Winslow! Is that harp a Super 64x?

  • Thanks for posting this Slim.

Great job Winslow, and kudos to all
