Texas Roughnecks Tactical (AMATEUR) division vs.

"_____" Open division team (Semi-pro team?)


This flag station I capture is equal distance from the enemy base (based on UWL Rules and decent GPS).

It rained all during the event. I had a couple pounds of mud on my cleats. This run left me with a severely swollen knee for a few days, but it was worth it for the points :)

This was my first tournament, and I was playing in an amateur division called "Tactical". We had to use non-force feed hoppers from an approved list.

HOPPER RESTRICTIONS * For all Class C markers a 9 volt or non electronic loader must be used. A 9 volt loader may not exceed a 15bps feed rate. An approved list of loaders is below. * Tippmann: SSL 200, Cyclone, AL 200, A5 200, A5 Stovepipe * Empire: Reloader & Reloader II * Spyder: Fast 9volt * VL: Revolution 9v & 12v NON force fed, Quantum * Turbo: All * Extreme Rage: Overdrive * Ricochet: AK, 2K, 2KY, Rhino * Q-Loader: Q-Loader * BT: Rip Clip


I studied all the rules at Www.PlayUWL.com before the event TO THE LETTER! After I arrived, I found out that there was an "exception" that just didn't happen to be "in the rules",,,,, A modified Pinokio!!
One team had a pinokio sponsor and Ego9s :O
How does that work, TOM COLE of the Ultimate Woodsball League? Also, You might consider enforcing that "ALL 10 MAN ELIMINATION CAUSES OTHER TEAM TO GO BACK TO BASE OR BE ELIMINATED" RULE.

WITHDRAW * In the event that all of one team has been shot off the field. The attacking team will be notified by the refs to pull back to their starting station. The attacking team may continue to play as the game as normal. They must however return to their starting box before the re-insert. Any player or players not at the starting box when the re-insert is called will be eliminated. * Teams cannot intentionally avoid shooting the last players of the opposing team

If you were at the event, I would have been happy to give you the video personally. I looked up to you as a kid.

We (AMATEUR TACTICAL team) played guys in the Open division for 3 of 3 rounds I played (for example: I was told Matty Marshall's team plays Open division)
If you continue to match Open teams against Tactical AMATEUR teams, you might consider enforcing this rule for now on. I was told by most teams playing that almost every game ended with one team completely dominating the other..and mostly Tactical vs. Open.

It's a good thing my teammate noticed our flag station wasn't correctly setup with our color flag....

Hey man! This is Church from the Roughnecks. I played the UWL last September at that field. Great field for that setup. It rained on us the whole time too. And we all missed Sunday's games time since the rain put half the field under water Saturday night!
