the clio has a decat, full exhaust, filer and super chip in this video and mine had a filter and backbox, i now have a decat fitted and my boost turned up to 0.8 bar and i smoke him now, it only cost me 50 quid for a HKS actuator and 30 quid for the decat. watch this space for the next video.

he got beat because a clio 172 coz they are much better than a fucking 1.3 turbo starlet lol....that starlet is prob modded aswell...the clio just kept pulling away lucky it wasent a 182 coz they got a better top end!.

my mod's are backbox air filter and dump valve and running standard boost. mods in the pipe line are decat, greddy emanage,hks actuator,frontmount intercooler,full exhaust,manifold and turn the boost up to 1 bar should then see 210bhp+ then we'll see who's leaving who. the starlet cost me £290 a year to insure fully comp and the clio cost my mate £1000+ funny thing is he want's rid of the clio to buy my other starlet from me.

@DonandMik buddy listen a gt turbo starlet will get you to 60 in 7 seconds standard you can speend about £500 on it and it will get there in about 5 beating all hatchbacks its hard to find a unmodified starlet on the net because there so easily tuneable and a tuners favourite car

you say that renaultsport have shit reliability! thats bull, i used to own a clio williams 2 and it never once let me down! im not sayin the starlets are shit cus there not and yes they are tunable but come on k-tec racing can do whatever u want to a clio! and yes the clio is french but toyota are THE most boring company in the world. for me the clio is better looking, faster and is a nicer place to be sat! ooh and 1.3 turbo vs 2.0 vvt???

Even if it was faster in a straight line (which it wouldnt be) i'd still be sitting there thinking to get this power it's only cost me £1000 to get there, hardly say that for yourself.

i can run my car all day long recently did 20 straight full laps at croft no problems what so ever,your french thing wouldnt be able to run for 2.

don't get me wrong 1*2's are great cars handling wise renault build some of the best hot hatch chasis just ashame there also FRENCH.

clios r w*nk my starlets runnin 21psi and 0 to 60 just over 4 seconds vxrs dont come close

Obviously a standard GT/Glanza is not as fast as a Clio 172. It will keep it honest to about 65-70 but top end pull is better.

A tuned Starlet though, thats a different kettle of fish :)
