You could recharge the orginal magnet without the need of adding permanent magnets. It was common practice in the day to recharge them using a coil of wire attached to a car battery and placing the magnet to be recharged inside the coil. You apply the power from the battery to the coil for just a split second and you have a brand new fully recharged magnet...they used to perform just this service at gas station garages years ago to restore the magnets in the cars' alternators.

Yeah, the history, I get what you're saying.
I read what you said somewhere earlier, and that is a cool thought!
You are the vintage radio king!
Uh, was that too over the top?

Thanks. Also all the history that originated from the horn.

I know the feeling. Some people have a natural urge to save and conserve.
Awesome "minimally invasive" repair job. You have amazing radio and repair skills. Your tricks and tips come up from time to time in your clips and they are priceless. Thank you.

wow that's a really neat repair! I've always wondered what was inside those horn speakers.

Thanks. It is neat to hear it play so well again. An earphone with a horn is about it, of course that is all there was in 1926.
