You don't have Beryl? Mostly Beryl works since the installations. Maby you mean Compiz Fusion?? I had lots of problems with it too. Do you have a Nvidia graphiccard?

At round :33 or :34 seconds, how do you get it to stretch like that? When I pull that far it de-attaches from the border of the screen.

Windows "just" works? You are sadly mistaken. Ever try re-installing it fresh without all the corporate softare pre-installed? Windows sucks balls and is only made usable by PC manufacturers who ship it with hardware drivers. You've gotta put around $500 into software just to make a Windows operating system usable. I run Windows XP in a virtual machine when I want to use the one or two pieces of "Windows Only" software like Age of Empires that I like that don't run quite right in Wine.

HA! When was the last time you used windows? Do you HONESTLY think linux is easier to use than windows? And yes, I'm a gamer but what I think of as powerful is being able to use ANY program I want to and not have to write 500 lines of code just to get it working. Windows just works.

oh sorry u are a gamer. SLKclan... yeah stick to windows... all you think of as "powerful" is probably gaming. Thats all that is important to you. BTW my laptop had sound and video drivers working at live cd boot... Windows doesnt even have that nor would it install drivers for you itself

yeah i know they are fixing the slow performance thing on newer versions i fixed a laptop of a friend lenovo i think was the brand but was really fast i was surprised since windows crapsta is SUPER heavy

vista? I have it running on a samsung q1 ultra (one of those ultra portable PCs) with 512MB RAM and a 700MHz CPU and it runs perfectly on it. (WITH the aeroglass crap turned on). I use mac and PC equally.
