@nitishdobhal17 I actually read a review claiming that Steven Wilson didn't manage to do that (renew his music) and then I thought, "This dude gotta be mistaking Steven Wilson from Nickelback..."

@BadSneakers : don't get me wrong; Love them both very much... but Steven is too much of a Heavensent Divine Musician to deserve your oneliner "This has Massive Attack all over it" ...

Steven Wilson is a genius!

@gindjeian Where's your brilliance and genius my friend? Why have you deprived us of your musical abilities? WHY!?!??! I agree I've seen some patterns from PT, IEM surface on his solo work but to call this shit just shows how truly envious and deaf you are. Or just plain stupid. Opinions are valid with REAL arguments go back to school.

I think it took SW like 5 minutes to create the whole album. I mean, he took some riff from 'In absentia', some idea from 'Stupid dream', a drum figure from whatever other song / album... put them together and voilá! There you go! An incredibly boring piece of shit that, however, is cashing in from this very recent PT euphoria. Wilson have completely sold out and, in my opinion, has not a cent of credibility anymore.

@saxnlaniwl Please understand that Wilson, like most artists, has many facets to his personality and creativity, and is not trying to accomplish the same things with Porcupine Tree that he does in his solo work. He considers Porcupine Tree to have a particular sound and stays true to that vision.
His solo work, and his work with Bass Communion, tend more toward the experimental and bizarre, and would not be suited to Porcupine Tree. This detracts from neither - they are simply different.
i also like how this sounds like a musical journey instead of a song. Brilliant!

SW is so predictable in his music....its always predictable that his new music is completely different from his previous work ;)
