Lake Keepit Soaring Club is one of Australia's best know gliding clubs. With few airspace restrictions and a variety of terrain from ranges to flatlands, the club is an excellent place for a learning to fly sailplanes, starting to fly cross country or for a perfect gliding holiday.

LKSC is a friendly and relaxed club which draws its members from the local region, Sydney and overseas. The club fleet is well maintained and up to date and there's a big private fleet of modern sailplanes.

Situated about on the Western Slopes and Plains region of New South Wales, 450 kms north west of Sydney between Tamworth and Gunnedah, LKSC has good conditions for year round flying. The main season is between September and May where most days have good CU formation and cloud base over 8,000'. Between November and April there are many days where a 500 km flight is easy and longer distances are very achievable.

This video was shot over a few days in May at what's called Magic Hour not great soaring conditions, but a magic time to fly! If you want to see happened after one of these high-speed racing finishes, have a close look at the other LKSC video.
