Estella - DAWS Dog for Adoption

Hi! My name is Estella and I'm a 2 year-old Italian Greyhound mix that's come all the way from Puerto Rico in search of my very first forever home! I'm a sweet girl who was found running on the streets with my friend Elena.

*****During Hurricane Irene a volunteer fostered me a their house and I had a great time! I loved running around their yard with my sister and the other dogs. I was a little scared at first and after a few hours, I felt like I lived there forever! I was no trouble in the house and was very well behaved. ****

Everyone here at DAWS has been so nice and they've been helping me learn that it's safe to trust people. I'm looking for a family that will be patient with me and continue to work on my socialization. I do love treats and I absolutely love playing outside and swimming in the kiddie pools we have at DAWS! I'm very shy and will take some time to warm up but I have a heart of gold and I promise that it will be worth the wait
