I made this song this morning on a flute I made from a piece of bamboo from my back yard. It is in the key of F#, tuned in the minor hexatonic scale. I am an amateur, and fairly new to the Native American flute. I only just began to make and play them this year, I've never owned/bought one from a professional flute maker, all of my songs are done with my own flutes. I was in the Marine Corps for 8 years, I fought in combat in Iraq, this is what helps me to relax.... I hope you enjoy it, please feel free to leave your positive comments below.

  • Amazing piece of work, Aaron! It's well-tuned and sounds great! And the song is really nice too. Congrats!

  • My Dear Aaron: For the short time you have playing and making flutes I recognize your talent and gifting. How precious! I can see it is healing to the heart of one who was in war. Perhaps doors will open for you to teach how to play and build these to otheres tormented by war. Peace to you flutemaker,

    Erik the flutemaker in Florida.

  • takes me back to summer days in the low rolling hills of North Georgia. You've captured the mood of those hypnotic afternoon thunder showers we have there, surrounded by our bounty of lush woods and waters flowing into lakes.
