When River Song killed a Dalek, she needed to be carrying a gun and for it it to be unarmed and malfunctioning. Ace did it with a baseball bat on a fully fonctionning Dalek. And that's why she kicks infinitely more ass than Song. She IS badass instead of ACTING badass.
