After 60 years of use as a medical preservative, thimerosal was removed from all routine vaccines in the US by 2001. The only vaccines that still contain even tiny amount are multidose influenza and some tetanus vaccines made in Europe.

The concentration of mercury used in the video of neural cells is 100 nanomolar. The flu shot itself is about 100 nanomolar Hg. If you had vaccine instead of blood, the amounts would be equivalent. In practice, the concentrations are thousands of times less.

@C0nc0rdance You can find this information on the CDC website it states: "However, in July 1999, the Public Health Service agencies, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and vaccine manufacturers agreed that thimerosal should be reduced or eliminated in vaccines as a precautionary measure."

The word SHOULD is all I hear and all they ever did. Just a public line a Recommendation with as much teeth as a FDA recall that doesn't go mainstream. Concentration levels? Exposure to Mercury is Toxic.

The correlation of autism in identical twins in 70 to 90%, autism is predominately genetic.

Since the majority of cases are genetic, it is unlikely there is a real increase but apparent increase can be accounted by a broadening of diagnostic criteria. Indeed, the fact that I have a PhD & an ASD, illustrates the concept of "autism" has changed, not that the number of cases have increased.

@Diamonddavej The Human Genome Project was shown to be a huge failure. They needed 93,000 genes for their (mainstream science) theory on how genes function to work properly. Turns out we only have 33,000 genes still hailed as a success in the media.Genes' do not program for life they Respond to it. You might have the same genetic disposition as your parents but if you do not expose yourself to the same triggers/environment the genes will not turn on. Check out Bruce Lipton!

@ExperimentalVaccines I don't like your inference that I am poisoned, that I am defective or damaged.

I & other people on the Autism spectrum, who I personally know, believe that society needs to change to accept and accommodate us. Saying we are damaged is discriminatory and inflammatory, it promulgates ignorance that will create negative stereotypes and worsen exclusion.

I want to be treated equally with dignity, not read some rubbish that I am less then you.

@Diamonddavej I have work in the field helping individuals that society has labelled Disabled. I did not give you this title and recoil from labels altogether I agree society must change. We live in the most controlled experimental society in human history. Materialism is the true culprit here causing the youth to focus what is cool rather than useful.Relationships fail in a patriarchal society we must move towards a matriarchal society and live with love and compassion.Don't let them label you!

Not only have studies repeatedly shown that there is no link whatsoever, but autism rates have remained completely unaffected by changes in thimerosal content of vaccines (which shouldn't be possible if it was a cause). Also, the symptoms of mercury poisoning not actually match up with those of autism.

@ijostl I heard the quote at an Autism conference I was speaking at last month. It means, few of us are "normal" because so many suffer from mental heath difficulties at some point. You had my intended meaning backwards, I never claimed autism is "normal" I meant who is normal? That's it.

I agree with the CDC, but the guy who uploaded the vid says autism is 100% environmental and Genes don't exist; a person's beliefs that alter their DNA and behaviour. Like he said, "Check out Bruce Lipton!"

@Diamonddavej - That's a cop out response. Autism is not normal, neither is cancer nor many other maladies. I understand you have a passionate belief about this subject; yet in your attempt to feel better about yourself you are posturing every notion you can grasp for in vain. Today, genetic studies appear to suggest that some people are predisposed to certain conditions, and that environmental factors can trigger these conditions. This has also been stated by the CDC with regards to autism.

It's as if you're sole interest is in proving a *belief* system already solidified within your faith-based approach. my cousin is autistic. His mother never vaxinates, they only eat organic, were a natural delivery, no medications etc, they breastfed for 3 years....

why in the same house is 1 child autistic and the other not?? Where is the mercury??
