I was at that game. It was one of the very few Norwich away matches I ever went to. When it reached 5-1 we all started doing the conga around the away enclosure. It was on a Sunday and after the game me and my mates ended up walking about three miles into Darwen to find an pub that was open. A pub that was full of Blackburn fans who spent the next three hours taking the piss out of us. A thoroughly surreal day.

Shearer's best years were at Blackburn. He was absolutely devastating the whole time there. I remember when Dalglish forked out that "record" transfer fee (3.5 million I think!!!) and I thought, "that's crazy". It was indeed crazy - crazily cheap as it turned out....

People forget just what a good footballer Shearer was. Not me, though. The second-best striker I've ever seen - behind Romario and just ahead of Batistuta.
