As part of the Remote Observing program for Global Astronomy Month (GAM2010, April 2010), the Virtual Telescope is proud to introduce a special event, offering you the chance to "see" an extrasolar planet in real time: "Is There Anybody Out There?".

On April 7 2010, starting at 00:00 UT, our cutting-edge technology telescopes will start observing one of the nearly 450 exoplanets known to date, showing its fascinating "fingerprints" while it passes in front of its star. This is one of the most intriguing topics in modern astrophysics, and we bring it to you for your enjoyment.
