J.K. Rowling Announces Pottermore OUTTAKES

Harry Potter author JK Rowling this morning launched a brand new Harry Potter web portal called 'Pottermore.' Aside from providing a venue for Harry Potter fans to share, discuss and enjoy HP content, the website will also be exclusively selling the ebook versions of all seven Harry Potter books. JK Rowling will also be contributing "addition information [she has] been hoarding for years." CBS News reports that this 'additional information' amounts to 18,000 words of new Potter material.

Set to launch in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish (with more languages to follow), users will be able to visit Diagon Alley, get sorted into a house, cast spells and mix potions to help their house compete for the House Cup. They'll also be able to visit Olivander's Wand Shop where the Wand Chooser will determine the right wand for each user from over 33,000 possible combinations.
