A brief tutorial on how I play the song, requested by a couple of people. I'll try to do a full run-through next so you can see how it all comes together.

  • @denniobrienmusic: Thanks for the kind words. I haven't, sorry. Actually, have never tried to tab a song before, although it would be an interesting exercise. If I ever do, this will be the song, and I'll let you know.

Are you a member of the Cockburn Musicians' group on Yahoo?

    Lots of good stuff there.

  • LOL! Thanks.

  • Great job! you have a good ear.....have you tabbed this? if so, can you send it to me? I have a few Cockburn songs that I have tabbed as well that I could send to you.

  • @artandsoundandwords it wont let me post the link if you're interested i'll try and message it to you and you can do with it what you will :)

  • also heres a video of him playing it live maybe you can tell better what the right chords are i can't and your way is good enough for me but maybe you'd like to try?

anyhow you've done a great job and added an awesome song to my repertoire thanks and cheers!

  • i found i like to do the ride up like this

first two chords exactly like you and then the second ones i just add a note on the b string so the chords would be like this

EADGBe: X9787X and then the same shape up two frets

this isn't any more correct than yours i just like the sound

  • great job! i've got it pretty much down now :) i know a few cockburn tunes but have never even contemplated doing a tutorial because its such a huge task for his songs...a monster task accomplished well sir!

  • Nice Mate but please, stop excusing your technique, it's a bit frustrating. It's a good video!

    Cheers
