I had the same questions some time ago, until I ran into a high res video of a demo mission and decided to pause it while the game was loading a new galaxy (it shows the control scheme during loading).
The layout is:
shift = boost
a+d = strafe left/right
w+s = throttle
r+f = strafe up/down
q+e = roll
space = brakes
mouse = pitch/yaw (+aim)
Of course you can map your personal preference. I will probably swap space/shift, and map my mouse sidebuttons to rolling.
yea i figured it was WASD and mouse like an FPS. but then the rolling was missing so im guessing Q and E would be for rolling because we use both those for Leaning in tactical shooters
i made an acount at the jumgate evolution page and y kant find the game to download. kan sam1 help me to tell me how kan y find the game?

i think the rotational control is going to be more organic than that.
the online FAQ states that you can use a mouse, joystick or gamepad, as well as a keyboard.
so at a guess, i'd say it handles rather like a shooter. organic movement with key-presses for weapon fire and boost etc.
