OC Transpo 8795: $0.25 ride! Part (1/2)

On October 29, 2008, fares were only 25 cents on all routes, all day. I and youtube's Breeze646 took the opportunity to ride some express, and rural bus routes, and try to ride a 1987 GM Classic bus, which were always on express routes, during rush hour only. These buses are now retiring, with about 12 or more left in the 1000+ fleet, taken over by low floor buses, and hybrid buses. We will miss you GM Classics!

Bus is on 55 Baseline, and is proposed that this route will be eliminated entirely.

Only 11?! OMG, the number has decreased soo fast. Btw, their is a GM sitting in JP. It's retired, and recently has been. It's not 8769, but this bus has the full leaf livery. Still not sure what bus it is.

Could be 8795, i know it had a lot of rust on it & OC attempted a 'redneck' repair but they failed haha

Well, I know 8790 and 8799 are sitting in Jurassic Park, so those are heading to retirement. Don't know about 8795. Havn't seen it ever since I rode it on this 55.
