@xxHannahBumbleBeeexx That all makes sense... But in a way you have to understand that only humans laugh. Laughing has multiple meanings. You may do animal behavior, but there is also human behavior which is unique in multiple ways.

@xxHannahBumbleBeeexx so true! I have often felt that it was horrific myself! BC unfortunatley I was once a young mother, remarried and I felt the same way about protecting my children. I got out of that marriage, but this female mandrill and many other monkeys, esp in zoos, cannot escape! I have often seen these videos and thought, "wow! just like a few jerk men I have witnessed in life!

She is trying to protect the young by 'bargining' with sex. She mates hoping he will leave her alone. Shes presenting herself to keep him away from the young.
She is showing fear, Submittion and agresstion.
Can these people not laugh at these monkeys, its not funny. It horrific
