Part four of the public roundtable discussion Alcohol and Cannabis: Is Prohibition Rational?, Held at Otago University as part of the first annual Cannabis Awareness Week. The event was an open lecture and roundtable discussion with Ross Bell (Director, New Zealand Drug Foundation), Pauline Gardiner (Founder, WellTrust; former National/United MP, Wellington Central), Chris Fowlie (President, NORML New Zealand), Nandor Tanczos (Green Party MP, Hamilton), Kevin Dawkins (Professor of Criminal Law, University of Otago), and Hon. Jim Anderton (Progressive MP, Wigram; Associate Minister of Health), it was a public discussion on: the relative evidence of harms from alcohol and cannabis use, whether or not current policies are working to reduce harm, and the place of harm minimisation in government policy toward alcohol and other drugs, moderated by award winning investigative journalist John Sellwood (TV One CloseUp) and held at the Otago University St. David Lecture Theatre on Thursday 1st May, 2008 as part of the first annual Otago University Cannabis Awareness Week.
