American Dream Players and The Pomo Project of Sebastopol present the premier of "Weya": an original musical comedy by Janey Hirsh. A small group of contemporary Pomo Indians confront each other, their shared past as native people, and their aspirations, while their 'Hardly Strictly Pomo Band' journeys spiritually, musically, and physically through California.
The American Dream Players marked Sebastopol's second annual Pomo Honoring Month with this musical comedy production. Weya means healing energy in Kashaya Pomo. The Pomo Traditional Youth Dance Troupe
led by Joe Salinas are featured in the finale of the production.
