A little talk with Jordan Rudess on Vokle this wednesday june 23 2010

This is me on vokle speaking with Jordan Rudess and Kevin Chartier. They were talking about the new iPad music application called MorphWiz, made by them.

Unfortunately, i forgot to select the option on screenflow that makes it record my mic, so you won't be able to hear me. I'll test it out next time.

What i asked him was how was the reaction of the members of Dream Theater when he introduced the iPhone in the bands music, because there is many people that don't see the iPhone as a real instrument. So this is his opinion about it.

The most important point of it is that the instruments written for the iPhone can trivially be migrated to the iPad. There are a lot of iPhones out there, so people write their experimental instruments - and some serious instrument emerge.  Port to iPad and a LOT of serious instrument emerge.

I have been working on my iPad instrument, and stopped playing guitar and bass once its quality passed a threshold. It will change the sound of music as well, because fretless is natural.

@rrr00bb yes, i can't wait to get an iPad and see what is possible to do with it. I have an iPhone and there is a lot of amazing applications. I can't imagine for the iPad, with this huge screen.

@neemiasteixeira yeah, he said july 3rd was the expected release date(i've been wanting morphwiz for a long time now hahaha so that was the only reason i really got on that night). i hope apple can move really fast and get it in the store sooner.

@ironwolg I don't think so. I think the announcement would be about the contest that he is doing with the MorphWiz or the south american tour this year. But who knows. Next time we ask him :)

Anyway, i think the version for iPhone will be available soon. I don't know if it will be this month, but i think will be really soon. At least he said that.
