This is the victory pass of world champion Walking Horse, Master of Jazz. It is from a digital video camera, so the footage is not as well as a tape.

  • This was my first celebration. Ive been a huge fan of the walking horse industy for MANY years and hope to one day own and show one of these amazing horses myself. I couldnt have asked for more from the last class, it was truley amazing and an expierence i will never forget, watching the 2007 world grand champion be crowned. I loved it and this horse and cant want to make a return to Shelbyville, to see the 2008 World Grand Champio be crowned.

  • So glad you liked the Celebration. I've went since I was 9 and am now 33 and I truly look forward to it every year. I have never shown there and that is my dream! Hopefully next year my horse will be ready! You gotta get you one! There's nothing like riding that great horse into a show ring and getting all dressed up! Hopefully I'll have a better video camera this year at the Celebration!

  • People whob say that is unnaturalknows nothing about the gait of the TWH. Now , running a horse until it's heart explodes or legs shatter into a million pieces...that is cruelty...Why no outrage about the race horse sthatrarely live past 4 years old??

  • I just saw where Eight Belles shattered her ankles and had to be put to sleep on the track! My heart just sank. That poor horse ran her butt off and got second with shattered ankles just to have to be put down afterwards! And I thought the same thing as I saw those horses running all bunched up, one had to stick its head straight in the air cuz it had no room. They tear tendons and muscles all the time and are made to get back on the track.

  • pooor horse =(

  • What do you mean poor horse? That horse lives better than any human I know. We have more pain and suffering in our lives than that horse will ever know. He won the world championship and know stands at stud and breeds all day long and lives the life of luxury and he's still young!

  • Thats Right Horses Like Santana's El Nino, Master of Jazz, Indy 500, Dixie LineMan, and many others, this breed has come such a far way just from 20 years ago.

  • Das sieht ja schlim aus, also wozu menschen alles fähig sind. da sagen leute dass der tölt gezwungen ist, da sollen die erstmal das hier sehen, dass ist ja pure tierquälerei!°

  • Ridiculous.

  • Sollte verboten werden

  • This video footage isn't the best, its hard to judge his movement.

  • Oh and dont compare it to TB or Qh they all have their abuses. They should not race 2 year olds, 2 year olds should not be shown under saddle in ANY breed. Their knees haven closed, their bodies havent finished maturing. And oh yes- you put pads/stacks on 2 year olds. As in many breed assoc you are using the horse for money and your own personal ego boosts. My horses are out 24/7 w/run ins are BAREFOOT, gait NATURALLY and SMOOTHLY with NO SHOES and NO unbalanced trimming and are healthy too

  • The natural runwalk is a beautiful gait. To perform successfully in pads/stacks they are breeding for a PACE which is harmful to the horse. By breeding for the pace when they place the stacks on the feet they cause them by unbalancing them to perform a 4 beat gait instead of a 2 beat lateral. Dont believe me? There is a video right here on youtube that gives instructions on it. that ruins the natural 4 beat runwalk which is perpetuating the uncomfortable and distructive pace.

  • I stand by what the majority of the horse world stands by Pads and soring is CRUEL and causes pain and discomfort to the horse. TWH were almost BANNED from the WEG due to padding and soring. Winners and others who placed in this years 2010 Celebration were currently suppose to be suspended for soring and yet they were still allowed to participate. Get your head out of the sand, look at a more natural way of keeping your horses. The natural running walk is a beautiful gait.

  • @lparkhurst1 You can say what you want as it is your right but saying that all horseshoes are bad is ridiculus. My horse would not be ridable if it weren't for the fact that he is shod. I have one of those unlucky horses that whether I ride or not his feet crack and chip...I have tried supplements, alternative hoof care, such as the easy boots, even going back to the his diet and changing it...still cracks and chips....The shoes help maintain his feet. They are an asset.

  • Please start doing some research on the form and function of the hoof in relation to the conformation and long term health of the horse. These pads/shoes are cruel and it is a testament to the horse that he/she doesnt toss your rear end onto the ground or display other negative behavior. Some horses are more stoic than others when it comes to pain. Horseshoes in general are BAD for your horses feet, these are horrible and cause all types of body issues. IMO pads are as bad as soring
