I had a chemical stress test this morning, i was told what to expect. I have always found when you have a procedure if you ask what were some reactions from previous patients your mind will be react to what was said. I was told all the feelings i could have. Well I have to tell you the test was not uncomfortable, I felt the warmness in my chest and a tingling in my stomach..and that was it. My test were all normal. Mind over matter. Try this in the future and it works.

THANKYOU SOOO MUCH ! I'm so worried and scared , as my paperwork from the hospital said 1 in 5,000 die from this type of testing!!! I will follow your advice. You were so brave to do this and now just look at all of the people you have helped! Glad you are okay, *hugs*

I just had one the other day and it was the worst procedure I've ever experienced. It's been 2 days and I still feel chest pressure, fatigue and headachey. I'll take the treadmill anyday!

I had one of them stress tests done 3 years ago oh my lord it was awful. Now I know what my Mother was talking about when she was going through the hot flashes during menopause. Man I was sweating so bad and it felt like a damn elephant was sitting on my chest. And my heart was going to jump right out. And all the while the doctor is talking to the other staff members like no big problem. Lordy I do not want to go through that again

@schenwhit @Mark2far AMEN TO THAT. I had this test done today. I am in the process of getting all my pre op testing done for bariatric surgery and my cardiologist wanted me to have this test. I had the dobutamine stress test and let me tell you, I'm NEVER doing that again. It was so scary. I mean it was over as quick as it started but those couple minutes or so were absoutley terrifying. I would never do this again unless it was totally nesscary. Ahhhh so scary.

I'm having the test this Friday. Thanks for posting this, at least I have a bit of a warning of what to expect. One important thing that I caught doing some reading is that certain heart meds need to be stopped 3 days before the test (those containing Theophylline and aminophylline) In my case it is Metoprolol. I brought it up on the phone to the doctor's office, and they caught it. So it means for me that the soonest I can have it is Friday now. It's good to check those things for yourself.

Hi Nicky. Thank you so much for posting this. You also have a nice personality. I watched a couple of your video's. I am supposed to have this chemical stress test next week and I was scared so typed it in a search, glad I found your video and youtuber's posts on it. I have severe apprehension about this but have neuro. problems and it is hard for me to walk but no way I would not be able to emotionally.or physically have this chemical test. I will do my best on the reg. stress test. Huuugs

I just had this test done 2 days ago and it was the worst thing I ever experienced in my life. I had this feeling in the pit of my chest it was heavy I tried to breath and it was like i was literally dieing. It was so scarry and they were telling me your doing fine, well fine isn't exhaustion and gasping for breath and I couldnt move I just couldn't believe that this was normal to feel this way. Don't opt for this unless you have too. 1 in 10,000 people die on the table from this test.
