Bogota Hunting in Tennessee - TWRA will not have a draw?

TWRA will not hold a draw this year for duck hunting in the Bogota WMA in Tennessee. Let's Save Bogota!

I have been a long time member and financial supporter of DU and have helped put together several successful banquets for DU in Middle Tennessee. DU purchased the pumps to flood the holes at Bogota. I have reviewed the findings of several key researchers who have studied the ability of the Bogota area to hold water for the duck hunting season. I became convinced that a few powerful politicians and land owners near the Bogota WMA stopped the draw hunts to elimiate competition for "their ducks"

I think DU could have and should have intervened on behalf of waterfowl hunters to keep bogota open and available to hunters.

Ducks Unlimited Sucks. Delta Waterfowl is the only organization trying to help SOUTHERN Waterfowlers. West TN hunting is a joke, I just read an article in my Tennessee Sportsman magazine and said our populations are at an all time high. They may be but we can't hunt on these new refugees. Men like Tommy Akin of Greenfield help to fund and build Maness Swamp, Bogota, and others in West TN, where is his pit, across the street from the refugee, he has killed our hunting. DU Sucks.....

DU what a joke. havent seen a thing good from them.( was a member for years before anyone opens their mouth) if you give em plenty of money thry ll help ya. and twra doesnt help either. if you dont have or cant afford private land or a guide hang up duck hunting in tn.

this is crazy. i lease in Bagota and i hear all the gunshots being fired over there. i know Bagota loves duck hunting thts practically all the people do down there. somebody needs to intervene to help save Bagota

Blaming DU for something the state did is crazy. And all you dipshits that don't support DU and the NRA need to get a clue because without either one your done, put your money where your freaking mouth is do something instead of bitching. If you know how to write then write a letter, send an email or make a phone call but stop bitching at the wrong people and organizations get off your lazy ass and do something !

DU?? DU is a joke of an organization.. I wish they were in favor of hunters, but realistically they are in favor of the moneys coming in from hunters. I WAS a member of DU for over 15 years until I found out how much money actually makes it's way to helping habitat. I'm from MN and I haven't seen DU put out any new projects that would be worthy of the money they bring in. I wouldn't give DU another dime!
